Time for some new articles at the H & M webshop. Most of the people probably just had the salary, so let's spend it (but please do it responsibly and save up some money in case of emergencies, says the sort of shopaholic).
I might have finally found the dress! Thank you for all the suggestions, they were really helpful! I looked at the sites and definitely found cute dresses but they were either too short or a little bit too sexy. I looked at a lot of webshops and sometimes the amount of dresses can be overwhelming as well. I did see this dress before at the C & A webshop but it was sold out in my size. Now it was back and since they were no forwarding charges and to be honest, I was getting quite desperate, I ordered it.
This dress is € 49,90 euros. I hope it looks cute and fits correctly!
Did anybody saw the tour of the duke and duchess of Cambridge, a.k.a. Prince William and formerly known as Kate Middleton? They were in New Zealand and after that in Australia. They took Prince George with them and he was adorbs. I'm a huge fan of monarchy and Kate wore lovely dresses. That's enough for me. So I have some pictures for you! I also added the designer of most of the outfits.
If you're still searching for festival wear for this summer, you might want to take a peak at the New Yorker. In the summer collection you can see a lot of crop tops and shorts. From the looks of it, this collection isn't really my cup of tea. But sometimes collections look better in the store and are more varied than the lookbook/webshop shows.
It's Kingsday tomorrow. It's a holiday in the Netherlands when we celebrate the birthday of our king Willem-Alexander. This is the first year we celebrate Kingsday, because last year was the inauguration of our king (remember the dress of his wife?) on April 30th, which was until this year Queensday. We said goodbye that day to our queen Beatrix. The good thing about abdication is we get a new monarch, but we don't really loose the other monarch. That one simply doesn't get to be called queen or king. Also fun, last year was the first in more than 100 years we got a king. Yes, we had 3 queens in a row. And after this king we get a queen again! I have to work tomorrow, but for everyone who's going to de rommelmarkt (the flea market), here's some outfit inspiration!
The striped pants arrived. I ordered them at the H & M webshop. I ordered them in two sizes and I was glad I did, because one was too small. Unfortunately the other one was too long for my legs. It's a problem I basically always have with pants. But with the cuffs like this it looks so much better.
Americans, rejoice if you love cheap and cute clothes. Primark is going to the States, y'all. Primark is known for it's affordable fashion and is quite popular in the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Portugal and France. The first store will be opened in Boston and the brand hopes to open more stores if the Boston one will be successful. The Boston store will probably be in business late next year.
Are you excited about this news and if you don't live in the States, do you wish that (more) Primark stores will be opened in your country?
If you're not ready yet, you'll surely be after this blogpost. I'm talking about summer. It seems most of the people can't wait for the season to be here. I'm with you guys. Sometimes it seems Mother Nature is as well, but she is fickle as always and than suddenly decides after a warm spring day: it must rain. However, I'm gonna stay positive. Summer will come either way. Whether it will be good, well that's another story. But with these items from Primark I'm sure it will be all good.
I bought this lace T-shirt at H & M when I went to Utrecht to visit a museum (the shopping trip was afterwards). This T-shirt is from the Divided Collection. The price is € 9,95. I also tried the Roshe Run, my latest obession, but I didn't buy them. They were super comfy though. But I'm afraid my toes will rip the fabric of the shoes. Has that ever happened to one of you before?
This week it was Easter. And next week as well, but you'll see the outfit I was wearing today next week (spoiler alert: it's very basic). It was also so windy at the beginning of the week. I was almost in danger of flying away due the wind (sarcasm)!
Yes, again with the Easter. I know the whole internet is in a frenzy because it's Easter but really to me it just means nice food and days of from work. But not from schoolwork though. If you're still/again or now are celebrating Easter, here is some outfit inspiration. Of course you can wear this pretty much everyday. That's why it's ideal! Still no idea, check out my blog from yesterday.
I'm still not sure what I'm gonna wear with Easter so I thought, why not make a post about? Obviously the color yellow pops into my mind. I think most people associate the color yellow with spring, Easter and chickens (as in chickens of a bird, not a woman). I'm not that big of a fan of the color yellow. I like it on others, but I'm too pale I fear. So I decided I made some outfit ideas. I don't think they're the typical outfits for Easter, but that's why I like them. Besides, what is the typical outfit for Easter in your eyes?
Daring with a jumpsuit, bright red pumps and a floral blazer.
My striped crop top from H & M arrived. I was so happy when I finally could order it in my size, because it was soldout all the time. I wore this skirt on Sunday, check my outfit of the week 16 blogpost for more details. I just wanted to show my elegant (ahum) up skirt moments. Marilyn Monroe did it better.
I've been obsessed with the sneakers Nike Roshe Run lately. I know so many people have them, but I don't mind. They're supposedly very comfy yet a little bit pricey. I do hear very different stories about the fit of the sneakers, so I should really try them in a store before I buy them.
I rarely ask myself: do I need this when I want to buy something. Because A: there's a huge change I might not exactly need it and B: because I have the ability to always find a excuse why I need this. And C: life is far more fun when you don't ask yourself this question (I'm also pretty much sure that I wrote this before to explain why I totally do not have a shopping addiction). I do think I've been relatively good with the non shopping, except for this jumpsuit, but that one was quite needed (see option B). I do get super proud when I don't buy everything from the internet, because I already might need a extra closet for my clothes. That's also because my closets (yes I have two, technically three) are super small. But when I go without shopping for like two weeks (that must be a record) I usually end up seeing something I really want and need. Just like today H & M decided I needed to order something and until April 21 selected items are up to 50 % cheaper. For someone like me who loves a bargain and loves sales, that is irresistible.
These pants were only € 6,95! They're normally € 9,95 which is already super cheap.
Kate Moss has teamed up with Topshop again. The model had a collection at Topshop before but it was ended several years ago. But now and I quote "The icon is back". Topshop of course refers to Kate Moss' status as a supermodel. That she still is a supermodel is obvious when you look at the gorgeous campaign pictures. The clothes exists out of cowboy fringes, edgy leather pieces and pretty dresses. The collection is divided in four themes: Tailoring Noir ('20 inspired), Balearic Dressing (bohemian), Cocktail Hour (classic party style) and Pyjama dressing (paisley print). The collection will be available at April 30.
I always enjoy looking at lookbooks for inspiration . I also like the pretty pictures. They can look really polished and you might get a better idea how the clothes really look when somebody is wearing them. This lookbook from Mango shows lovely summery items. Which is great, but at the moment it's anything but spring let alone summer! So let's just stare at these pictures and hope summer will be here as soon as possible.
Another week has passed. Like most weeks, this one flew by. I ate sushi (yummy!). Further just loads of schoolwork. It's for a good cause, but sometimes it literally feels like there's no end to it. I think we all know that feeling right.
Yes, that's right. Alexander Wang is the new guest designer for H & M. H & M announced the collaboration on instagram. H & M has made a collection with guest designers an annual thing. Isabel Marant was the last designer who made a collection for H & M. Whether you liked it or not, the clothes were sold out almost immediately. I'm sure with this collection it will be the same thing. The collection will be launched on November 6. I for one am really curious how this collection will look.
Nelly started the mid season sale as well. It has so many pages that I was quite overwhelmed to be quite honest. It had 38 pages (when I looked) and that was when I looked for articles under the € 50! Can you imagine all the pages of the whole mid season sale? As of right now, there are 53 pages in total filled with mid season sale. So enjoy! I selected some items I like and which are budget-proof (off course!)
I already showed the lookbook of the Conscious Exclusive collection, but today I wanted to show some separate items from the collection. Since the line is officially in stores and online as of today. Like I wrote earlier, the collection is beautiful, but I don't see myself wearing anything from the line. Especially since the prices aren't that budget proof.
I'm not sure whether the sale at the Mango webshop is mid season, because there aren't that many items on sale. I don't check the Mango webshop as often as the H & M website. I do see different items in the webshop than last time, so it might be the mid season sale? Whatever, bottom line is I selected some items which are now on sale. Update: It seems today (April 10) the mid season sale has started at Mango and they added new items to the sale. Talk about great timing! I was just too early with this post I guess!
Are you a big fan of the Nike Air Max, Roshe Run or other Nike sneakers? I gotta admit, my current obsession are the Nike Roshe Run in black and white. I know a lot of people have them, but I don't mind. Because I saw a lot of women styling the Roshe Runs in amazing ways, it inspired me and the sneakers grew on me. I love the fact that sneakers are popular, because it's so much nicer for our feet (though I love heels as well). But if everyone else has them, that doesn't make my hate them. I know some people think that way, but I believe in wearing whatever you like, whether it's popular or not. And because I buy a lot of clothes and shoes from more affordable and bigger stores/brands, chances are a lot of people are wearing it.
It's time for a post with new articles at H & M. More spring/summer items have been posted to the webshop. Some of these items might already be for sale in the stores. As usual, I made a selection of items I like.
I used to buy a lot of clothes at Vero Moda but this and last year I wasn't that big of a fan of the collections. Their clothes also got a little more expensive since last year. At least, that's how I feel whenever I'm in the stores. The clothes look boring and when I see a clothing item I like, it's like 40 euros when it's not even that special. If I can buy almost the same thing at H & M or Primark for like half, then I'm not gonna buy it at Vero Moda. But I do gotta admit that this lookbook looks amazing. It's filled with cute dresses, floral prints and stripes. Perfect for spring and summer. Let's take a look.
I always think it's a pity Primark doesn't have a webshop, because it's so hard to find whether they have a new collection or not. But I found some items and I wanted to share these with you. I don't know whether these items will be available in other Primark stores across Europe, because the source is British. But let's hope so! These are from the summer collection of 2014.
I've been posting too much about AllStars lately, but I just wanted to share this great Converse All Stars sale at Sarenza. Some of the shoes are 50 % cheaper! The sale will end on April 10, but I already saw a lot All Stars which where sold out.
I was finally able to order my lovely wide striped top at H & M! I've tried it on with shopping in two colors, but I liked the white one the most. However both times my size wasn't available and it wasn't available online either. But now it was!
